Amazonite

Amazonite is a blue-green feldspar with pale streaks running through it, named after the Amazon river though it has never been found there. A smaller range than most of our stones: tumbles, a raw chunk, spheres, a crystal butterfly, a crescent-moon suncatcher of amazonite chips, and bead and chip bracelets including a hamsa evil-eye design. Folklore treats it as a calming stone for plain speaking. The colour sits between turquoise and sea glass, and it is one of the stones people pick up in the shop without knowing its name. Free pickup in Kaiapoi or NZ-wide courier.
